Tropical 'cool' showers

The night we arrived at Yangon they took us to our apartment: Ta Pin Shwe Thee. We went to check out the bathroom. The shower looked like this
For a while we searched for the hot water tap... We found none.
(Don't try, we already searched quite thoroughly!)
Later we found out that in Burma there is no hot water, unless the water in a container almost boils under the merciless tireless sun.
Catch your breath, and push yourself under the cold water!

Wood.

I'm sitting here drinking my beer in the restaurant of Pun Hlaing Golf Club in Yangon.
I'm all alone except for a (probably wealthy Burmese) couple. The squeak of their wooden chairs makes the uncomfortable silence between them sound like a sharp blade cutting through their state of mind.
And I... feel good.

Be careful what U wish for!

Tomorrow was the first day at work. While going to the company we passed by a gated community called FMI City, which looked like an alright place to live, a place which looked 'normal'. We both wished we could live there instead of 'The Scary Tower'.
We arrived at work, sat in the lobby waiting for Mr. Kiwi. When he arrived he greeted us with "Come!", and we were like 'what the fuck! at least say hello or something!'.
First thing he asked was if our place was all right. We made him understand that it was all fucking NOT right. So he suggested that they will renovate the place and in the meanwhile we go live in the company's guest house.
Later that day, the company's guest house turned out to be in FMI City.
